We went toy crazy this month, and stocked a few toy lines that we've been eyeing up for a while:

July 2011 - New products from Toronto's Pure Blankz
Finally - we have organic cotton crib sheets! This is something we've been meaning to stock since we began. Available in 5 colours, these fitted sheets are ethically and sustainably made by Canadian company Pure Blankz. We also couldn't resist ordering their matching baby blankets....
Baby clothes are another must-have that we've been missing here at The Green Sheep - and now we have them too! Also from Pure Blankz, these colourful basics are bound to make any baby look and feel great.
June 2011 - New products from Vancouver's Green Bean Baby
We're please do have added three new products from mom-owned Green Bean Baby, based in Vancouver, BC. All of their products are made in Canada from 100% organic cotton. The items we chose to start with are the essential newborn no-scratch mitts, wondrously soft velour booties, and their irresistible toddler dress.
May 22-23 - Sheep & Wool Fair
Come see us at the Sheep & Wool Fair this long weekend (Sunday and Monday) at Huble Homestead. It's their opening weekend, and it sounds like a lot of fun! Learn all about raw wool, do some old-fashioned activities with costumed interpreters, watch sheep herding and knitting demonstrations, and (of course) see all of our wooly wares! Upcoming Event: WAHM Tradeshow, Saturday March 5th
We are eagerly anticipating the Third annual WAHM (Work At Home Moms) Tradeshow, on Saturday March 5th at the Prince George Civic Centre.
Last year we attended this event as our "grand opening". Armed with some terrific products and a stack of business cards, we made some great contacts and had a lot of fun - even if we had to make a last minute trip to Staples to get a banner printed. This year, with a bit more "tradeshow experience" behind us, we will be showing off even more great items that we've gathered over the past year.

January 2011 - Happy New Year! New Inventory in Stock
It must be something to do with the new year.... we've been busy reorganizing the website, and restocking our shelves.
We're crazy about the new Woodland Friends and Pink Flock prints from the Organic Quilt Company (here and here). We also restocked our other prints and got some new colour-bound blankets.

October 4, 2010 - NEW BABY!
The newest member of our family joined us this month - a healthy baby girl!
Although this makes things busy around our home, The Green Sheep is still open for business. And now we're testing more of our products - in the photo at left, she models the Bamboo Terry Hat (it helped her feel a bit better after her bath - nobody likes a cold wet head!).
October 1-7, 2010 - World Breastfeeding Week in Canada
The Green Sheep was proud to be a sponsor of the World Breastfeeding Week events held in Prince George in the first week of October. We donated several pairs of nursing pads, wool dryer balls, two bibs, and a set of burp cloths to be used as prizes during the Breastfeeding Friendly Decal Launch on October 1, and the Breastfeeding Challenge on October 2.

We are happy to announce that we now have infant onesies (a.k.a. body suits / diaper shirts) made from brightly coloured, stretchy organic cotton.
Also just in, we have the Abbee Doll, a fun and cuddly companion made from organic cotton.

We are very very excited to announce that we officially have organic crib mattresses available for sale in Prince George! There are two styles to choose from: an innerspring and a natural rubber version. Both are of superb quality and are entirely chemical free, providing your baby or toddler with a safe, comfortable place to rest his/her sleepy head.

Please come and join us on May 8th, 2010 at the Prince George Civic Centre form 10am-4pm. The IMSS (Immigrant & Multicultural Services Society) has partnered with SWIS School District 57 to hold a Multicultural Fair event.
There will be lots of displays, fun and entertainment, including a fashion show, movies, crafts, henna, an art contest, food, hair braiding, performers, and a bazaar. The Green Sheep will be in the bazaar, selling our wares!

WAHM Tradeshow, Saturday March 6th
The PG Work At Home Moms group held its second annual trade show on March 6th from 10am-5pm, to showcase home-based businesses of all sorts.
This was The Green Sheep's debut show - our official launch - and your first chance to come see our products up close.
